There’s no right or wrong time. I’d say typically half the time of however long the relationship lasted but it could be longer or shorter depending on who you are as a person and how you process things like that.

Took me a month after a 10years long relationship with my emotionally abusive ex-fiancé. Then started dating my best friend. I thought I was going to stay on my own for quite a while to allow myself some recovery but found out that I really was ready to be happy with someone. It has been 10months now and we're moving in together, new job, new home.
