HELP! Room cleaning

mama.bear

I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. It has been a busy summer....we found out at the end of April that I was 11 weeks pregnant (2 more weeks left!) and we also moved. Oi. I run a dayhome as well so things have been a little chaotic lol

I have two kids, a girl 11, boy 9. Last October we had a meeting about my daughter and we were told at the end of the meeting there was a possibility of Asperger's.

As each day passes it makes more and more sense. I think back on her toddler years and it all comes together. But I don't know how to help her.....it's been a long frustrating year and while I know it's not her fault, I'm still angry and at my wits end (not about the possible diagnosis!!). Things like cleaning her room and getting up in the morning are a never ending fight. She was at her dad's this past weekend and refused to help out with anything because it wasn't her sitting and reading her book.

I would love tips or ideas. Her room cleaning and getting up in the morning are the biggest things I can think of right now.....it may not sound like much but with babe due any day and my hubby is starting a new job she NEEDS to be up and getting ready. Because of dayhome rules she has to be downstairs by 7:30. At this point we are taking 2-4 hrs to clean her room and my hubby or I has to be in there with her for it to get done.

Thank you for listening to me ramble if you're still reading...
