Can animals tell?

My cat who I have had for 2 years had never been the cat that wants to be next to you、 cuddle or any of that. She always wants to be left alone. For the past few days if she cant see me she will cry until I answer. She also always have to be next to me touching or curled up to me if I am sitting down. When I am sleeping she has to be between my legs for her to sleep. She doesnt leave my side and is very protective of me. My bf is determined I am pregnant. Could my cat tell if I am before I know? My af is due saturday the 3rd. I am not going to test until Thursday. Could my cat be telling me something?
