Cysts...

I’m 21 years old and started experiencing pain on the left and right side of my abdomen (mostly in my right, at first) where my ovaries are. The right side started becoming increased severe pain so I went to the ER. I was bloated also. They did some blood work but wasn’t told anything assuming everything came back normal. They did a ct scan and a pelvic exam. The doctor told me he saw free fluid in my pelvic and expects ovarian cysts. I was told the pain is probably caused by a rupturing cyst and it should just go away. Well two - three weeks later I am still in pain but now on the left more than the right! That among other symptoms. I’m experiencing excess hair loss, depression, low energy etc. I made an appointment with my gynecologist and he told me there were ovarian cysts that showed up in the ct scan at the er (which I wasnt told at the ER for sure, just that he suspected them) and ordered for me to have blood work done. (Waiting on the results for that) he also prescribed me Lo Loestrin FE birth control, he said it may help with the cysts. But I’m left wondering how many cysts? Why didn’t he refer me to have an ultrasound done? How do I know my cysts are benign? How many cysts were seen? I don’t want to take birth control pills as I’m scared it will go horribly wrong and mess me up. I’ve read horrible reviews about Lo Loestrin. I also read that ovarian cysts can’t be picked up on a ct scan unless they are big. Why is that not being addressed? I have severe anxiety and I’m basically telling myself the worst, that my cysts are cancerous. I’m just so frustrated and worried because I am just not myself but feel like none of these doctors care/want to help me. I feel almost at a dead end... ☹️ any suggestions ladies?
