Calling all hair stylists or anyone who knows about hair

I got some highlights done exactly 1 week ago (last Tuesday)

I let them know I wanted no gold, nothing. When she finished my hair she said where the root meets the highlight it was turning goldish/ orange so I’d need a toner

She let me know this in advance what the price difference would be IF i needed a toner - which I did.

I paid $200 and I have short hair. The color came out beautiful I was so happy with her work.

BUT ONE WEEK LATER gold is coming out. Is this normal?? It’s been one wash. Should I call / go back???
