ADOPTION ADVICE: is owning a home necessary to adopt?

We’ve been renting a home for a few years. Our son is two and we recently got married. We’ve casually been looking for a house and also TTC another baby for almost a year now. I’ve always wanted to adopt and I know it can take several years-time-money.. my question being.. when filling out paperwork to get started is it crucial to own your own home? Of course when our family expands and we find the right place we will get a house but it just hasn’t happened yet. Any suggestions? I don’t want to wait too long. Even if it’s not now, years down the road I’d like to be more educated..
