Why did you pick their name?

Question

A lot of people ask me why I decided to name my little girl Charleigh-Jo. I get a lot of mixed reviews at my reasoning: Growing up I adored the movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. The main character's name is Charlie and his grandpa is Joe. I always vowed to name my son Charlie Joe but when I found out I was having a girl I already had my heart set!
What are some of the reasons you guys have picked your baby's name?

Baby girl's Dad chose Claire. Getting him to pick a name last time was like pulling teeth so I went with it. And I decided when I was young that if I ever had a daughter her middle name would be after my grandmother. It just happens that that's his Grandma's name too. People have literally looked at me and said "Really? That name is so old." (Insert fake smile)

Huge doctor who nerds so we decided on Clara and when we were discussing middle names our banker, Cole called us. I love gender neutral names so Clara Cole sounded perfect.

I wanted a junior but dad doesn't like his name (Avery) me and my dad aren't super close but he's excited to be a grandpa for the first time and I'm his only child. We were going to name him Hakim Amir (which translates to Wise Prince) but I wanted to incorporate my dad's name (John) somehow. Giovanni is Italian for John but we decided on a shorter version Gianni. And it means God is merciful, which is perfect because me and hubby thought I couldn't get pregnant for a few years. So we chose Gianni Amir at 14 weeks and we are due Saturday and have never changed it.

I chose Bristol Nicole. I love the name Bristol and Nicole is my middle name so I wanted her to have that from me. I'm sure people will always have some comment about Bristol Palin when they hear it but whatever. We love it and that's all that matters. Lol I've gotten crap over my name being Randi my whole life. So I'm used to it :)

We are going with Austin Michael. Michael is my husbands middle name and we went through lists of baby names and we just like Austin. There is no special meaning behind it.

We picked Anthony William. It's my dad's name in English and backwards. His is Guillermo Antonio (William Anthony). When he found out, he cried. Apparently his dad would call him that when he was growing up. His dad passed away when he was 15.  We didn't know. He said it was perfect! I think we made a good choice.

We are going with Emily Lynn, Lynn is after my husbands grandmother who passed away a year ago.

We named my daughter Ashlynn Avery after my grandfather, our son was named Myles Cameron after my husbands grandmother. We don't know the sex of this baby yet. But since we lost our son we decided we wouldn't name this baby after anybody. We have a girls name picked out but nothing for a boy.

My husband picked the boy's name, and he wanted to go with a junior,  and I picked the girl's name.
