MIL and gifts
Does anyone else have trouble with their MIL buying you things you don't want/need? I'm trying not to be ungrateful but I just don't like receiving thing that create clutter. Stuff we don't need or will never use or constant home decor stuff. I have no more walls to hang pictures and no more tables to put decorative jars! Last year she asked for ideas for Christmas so I made it easy and sent my Amazon wish list and she didn't buy a single item from it. I just got more home decor items!
And again I am grateful for what I get and I know she doesn't have to buy us anything but I feel like she does it on purpose because she only wants to shop for "fun" gifts. Money is tight and I hope to get things that I needed to buy anyways but I just get more stuff that I don't need.
One example is we asked for a shower head that can detach from the wall so we can use it to wash the dogs easier. She found out it was for the dogs and said if she knew that she wouldn't have bought it!
I probably sound like an ungrateful bitch but I just know when I buy gifts for people I try to get things they actually want.
