Any of you ladies feel like giving me some insight on what typically happens at your doctor's appt after your 1st missed period? Does that count as your first prenatal visit? What can I expect? Thanks!

They will give you an internal exam, give you a due date based off of your lmp, ask questions about your health, and write you up a sheet for blood work.

When I went to my first appointment they checked my weight and blood pressure, they did a pap smear also had to pee in a cup so they could do a pregnancy test there then asked a bunch of questions on my family medical history. They also listen for a heartbeat but I was around 15 weeks at my first appointment.

Around 8 weeks, I went for mine. First I saw the prenatal nurse who made me pee In a cup, took all vitals and then talked me through the next 9 months. Then I saw the OB doc and she did a Pap smear and a transvaginal ultrasound to check on baby and find the heartbeat. Then, she saw me again 4 weeks later :)

Thank you ladies! I'll be approx 6 weeks if I'm pregnant. I've had 3 BFN's but am 23 days late(?!) I really appreciate the input 😊 I guess I'm just nervous since I've never been through this before.
