So my husband and I just found out we were pregnant with our first baby, I’m talking 4 weeks along here. He can’t keep a secret so we told both of our parents already because we knew they would be excited. Since chances of miscarriage are high during the first trimester, we decided to wait until we’re in the second to tell the rest of our family the news. My parents were completely fine with it and never pressed the issue. Well of course my husbands parents are a completely different story. His mom was already in the process of texting family members when we started talking about wanting to wait to share the news. She has texted me again a few times since her finding out asking if she can tell this person or that person and talking about how hard it is on her to wait and not tell anyone. Why can’t people realize that this is OUR baby and WE should be the ones telling that we’re expecting and not anyone else?? Ughhhh rant over. Any suggestions on how to deal with this moving forward is appreciated! ☺️
