Birthday party on weekday or weekend?

My toddlers birthday is on a Wednesday and my husband wants to have his party on that day. I told him no because people will be working. What would you do? I'm not doing two parties again I did that last year lol I'm 16 weeks pregnant and looking an easy option.

I would do it in the Sunday before or the Saturday after and then on the actual birthday just have nice family day or something.. my daughters first birthday fell on a sunday and this year it’s on Monday so I’ll probably just do it on Sunday again.

I’m obviously in the minority here, but I don’t see anything wrong with weekday parties. We reserved the local trampoline park for next Tuesday. LO’s birthday is on a Sunday, but we live in the Bible Belt so basically no one would come if I had it that day. Planned it for Saturday, but it’s $50 cheaper to have it on a weekday. We’re just having it at 6:00 in the evening so most people will be off work anyway.

Yeah I always do a weekend party for family, then on his birthday we will do something special like go somewhere fun and maybe get a fancy dinner, but I know I don’t want to deal with that party stuff during the week and I know no one else will either 😂
