Diastasis recti?!
Hey y’all!
So, just realized I’ve got DR (going to call the doctor in the morning about it but there isn’t really any doubt- I’m tiny and have grown pretty drastically so far, started with a flat stomach and now feel like a whale 24w3d). The long and short of what DR is is your abdominal muscles separating up the middle, like undoing a zipper. No, it doesn’t hurt, my obnoxious lower back pain was what made me think of it. So the separation I’ve got is at least three fingers big as of now, have any of you had significant DR before? And what were you told about exercising? Usually I don’t do a whole lot more than walking but sitting up from laying down is honestly very difficult. Maybe the separation could be contributing to that?
