Hemorrhoid?

Can anyone please explain what an external hemorrhoid looks like? And how long they take to heal! I’ve never had one before but yesterday I saw some blood in my stool and found a little cyst like bump on the edge of my booty. Not sure if I should go get it checked or just buy some over the counter stuff ? Helppppll

Use “tucks” pads or cotton pads soaked in witch hazel to help comfort the area and wear a pad (to soak up any extra wetness from the witch hazel).

Yeah hemorrhoids are like that. Just use ice pack, keep it clean, try not using dry toilet paper, maybe wipes. There's over the counter medication for it, which will help out heaps because they can get itchy and uncomfortable, even to sit.. Haha, too much info maybe but yeah, they are a menace, also try staying hydrated since they pop out when you are constipated usually. Stool softeners. Try not to push too much on the toilet or sit on it too long.
