Water break?

Question

So I was sitting on the couch with my significant other and I felt like a small gush of fluid and got up to use the restroom and found this amount of liquid on my underwear. I don’t know if it’s enough to go to the hospital or anything? I am 40+2. Also a first time mom so I don’t know what to look out for.

So I tried the whole coughing thing last night and it didn’t cause anymore to come out sadly. So it must’ve just been lots of discharge. 😖 I have my induction scheduled for Monday but I don’t wanna wait till then!

This happened to me last night at 130am. When i wipes it was liquidy light pink. I called the doctor at 3am and had me come in! Sure enough it was my water and baby was here by 5pm! Never hurts to call! Good luck!

it should keep leaking so put on a clean pair and then cough and if some more comes out then its your fluid. I have gushes with discharge and ive been in once to labor and delivery and another time to the office and they told me to do this. Its hard to monitor fluid with a pad on.

If it’s your water breaking it will continue to leak out. I’ve been having this issue with discharge lately and I keep praying every time it is my water breaking. My water broke with my first son and it was a consistent leaking.

Same thing is happening to me, this morning I got up and it actually dripped down my leg so I’m going on to get checked , I hope this is it !
