Are ultrasounds separate?

I looked up first baby appointments as the topic on the app and I’m getting the impression that ultrasounds are a separate appointment than the baby’s appointment? Ftm, my appointment is in a couple hours and I’m now more nervous as I kinda expected all of it to be in one..

My first appointment was meeting doctor and comfirming the pregnancy and how far along i was so an ultrasound was apart of the appointment

Usually the very first appointment is just to confirm pregnancy & and medical history. Some paperwork, information, and whatnot. I also ended up getting a quick pap done during that visit since it had been 6+ months since I had it done.  
Sooooometimes some places miiiiight do an ultrasound with that visit but not usually.

First pregnancy, I had an ultrasound on my first apt. just because i had irregular periods and didn’t keep track so we needed to date the pregnancy. With this second baby tho, I didn’t get to see him until my anatomy scan at 19 weeks.

Are ultrasounds separate?
