Period??

So im on birth control and I have been for about 2/3 years now and this month I've been having brown blood for like 2 weeks straight. It turned red for maybe an hour but it still had brown egg white blood. Any help or ideas on what it might be? I don't have any cramps or signs of my period other than the brown stringy blood.
