Anyone having sciatica issues?

I can’t walk today, I’m in so much pain, and dr said on extreme pain to take 2 paracetamols and only that.
I don’t know what else to do, bought a special pillow, resting at home every other day.
But I think most of all I’m struggling with being less and less independent, today I got stuck in the middle of the city cause I work 2 hrs away from my job. 
I can’t wait for the baby to be born!

I suffer from sciatic pain way before I got pregnant. One time I couldn’t walk to 2 days without crutches. I learned to the best way to deal with it, is when you start to feel the pain in the lower back and butt cheek, sit on a chair with one ankle crossed over the other thigh. Pull your knee to your chest and hold it for a while. Maybe count to 20. Then push the knee towards the floor for a count of 20. Switch sides if needed. I do this as soon as I feel it and it goes away! Being 26 weeks pregnant has definitely made it worse but stretching helps manage the pain!

Mine is awful sometimes too. It’s worse when I get out of bed in the morning or after I’ve been sitting a long time. My doc told me to try a belly band and a few different stretches to help her move out of my pelvis. She’s referring me to a local chiropractor who specializes in pregnant patients to help alleviate some of my pain if she decides not to move over the next week or two.

Same here, now off work bc I can't drive or be in a car more than 15-20 before my foot goes numb. For me, sitting & laying are the worst.  Nightime is also excruciating when everything swells up. Walking or the slow hobble is the only thing that helps some.

Have you seen a chiropractor who does pregnancy work? A prenatal massage is another option that may help!

Yes, mine keeps me from walking sometimes. It horrible but not all the time.
