Ttc after birth control pills

I am currently on birth control pills have been for a year and a half and had Mirena for 8 years prior. Me and my husband are wanting to start trying for a baby within the next year but I’m wondering if I should just stop my birth control now but knowing my luck I’ll get pregnant immediately so I don’t really want to do that. Does anyone have any good info on TTC after taking the pill? Does it take months? I’ve had a regular period every month, not sure if that helps or not. If you took birth control pills how long did it take you to conceive after stopping? TIA!
