Is 10pm a reasonable curfew when you’re 21? 🙄 my parents are strict & old fashioned

If you're paying rent I would say that they don't get a say in that, but also I'm 21 and still live at home rent-free (on weekends and breaks when I'm not on campus), and my parents never even suggested a curfew. The way I see it, adult offspring living at home should try not to cause a disturbance late at night if possible, but parents should respect their adult offspring's independence. I'm grateful that my parents show me that respect and understanding.

If it's their house It makes sense. When I stayed at my parents house they didnt want my boyfriend in my bedroom even tho when we stayed at his parents house they didnt care.

I moved back in with mine at 23 and my curfew was nine unless I had work then I had half an hour to get home unless I called to make sure it was okay or I preplanned a week out with them. I dealt with it because I was back under their roof.

Their house, their dime, their rules. If you move out and pay rent, you still will have rules from your landlord to follow: whether or not you can paint or put holes in the wall (to hang pictures), whether or not you can have a pet, etc. Even if you buy your own home, there are still rules...yes, you can stay out past 10 whenever you want, but if you have to get up at 3am to get to the job you have to pay for that privilege, then the responsibility to decide when getting home to get rested enough so you can function and keep said job rests entirely on you.
