37+6 appointment!

Doctor is going to induce me at 39 weeks! She said she would have no problem inducing me due to the pain and worsening discomfort that this is putting on my back. I was initially seeing if a c-section would be possible because of my prior back injury and that it’s getting worse the longer that I’m pregnant. I come from a family (other than my mom who was induced with me with preeclampsia and had an emergency c-section with my sister due to spina bifida) of women who go over their due dates. My cousin just had her son in December of last year at 41+6. I cannot physically or emotionally do that. I have to get back on my anxiety and depression meds ASAP to try to reduce my risk of PPD. She checked my cervix and I am at 1cm and 25% effaced. I know that’s not a lot but from last Wednesday when she couldn’t even get the tip of her finger in and said I was rock solid, we made progress! Looking forward to meeting my sweet girl at the end of next week! 💕
