Pre term labor! Help!

So I started having contractions last week at 29 weeks. They gave me meds in the hospital to stop them. Then the very next day more contractions so went back to the hospital and more meds to stop. Sent home with medicine for contractions that makes me super drowsy. Now I’m almost 31 weeks. Tried to work yesterday made it through the day but had tons of very strong contractions all day and can’t take meds at work due to drowsiness. So now I have to basically live on this medicine and my doctor wants me off work. I have to start my 13 week maternity leave early. So I’m a tad bit upset because I wanted my whole leave to be with baby. But it looks like I will only be getting eight weeks with him. I’m dilated a little more than 2CM and 50% effaced. With a low cervix. My job is secure and I’m getting paid for the whole 13 weeks which I know I am super blessed for but I can’t help but be sad about the lost time with my baby. Also has anyone had this happen and gone into labor early? I’m afraid he will hold out until 41 weeks and then I won’t hardly have any time at all to bond and heal. Please no negative comments I know I sound whiny but these hormones got me 😩 I just want time with my baby and I’m feeling selfish by taking off before he’s here. My dr recommends and wants me off but isn’t making me technically just yet.
