What do you think about ring shaming?

I've seen this post a few times in the last few days and it makes me so mad. As someone who can't wait to get engaged and doesn't care if I get a ring or a cheap one, I hurt for her boyfriend. But I also see comments saying they understand where she's coming from because shes the one who has to wear it. What do you think?
