Promise ring or no?

My boyfriend and I have known each other for three years. We’ve been together a littler over a year. I thought by now a promise ring would be brought up. Do men still give out promise rings to their lady or is my man just acting up?

I think promise rings are for couples too young to marry. I personally think promise rings are invalid and juvenile. If my partner gave me one I’d be insulted.

My husband gave me a promise ring but it was special because it belonged to his mom. My engagement ring also belonged to his mom. I personally dont think they are stupid or juvenile. I think it’s just a form of showing commitment or love

I’ve never understood promise rings. Even when I was young. If you’re going to promise to get married one day, just get engaged. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I never got a promise ring and I haven't really heard of anyone doing it except high schoolers. I never heard of a grown man giving their girl a promise ring haha

It's a bit of an outdated tradition, much like the relationship status of "courting". But if you're wanting one, talk to him about it.

My boyfriend gave me one and we were only dating for 2 months lol he said he already knew he wanted to be me with me forever and for our one year he upgraded it and I got him one also. We’ve been dating for 2 years now and he said he plans on asking me to marry him in about 2-3 years when we have enough money saved (we also live together) he got me a ring because he said he wanted me to know that he was serious about us. But i honestly think promise rings aren’t for every one. He may think y’all don’t need a ring to know how much y’all love each other. Just depends on the person. Don’t think too much about it. I’m sure he’d rather save up for the real thing😉

Promise rings don’t mean anything to me. I’ve been given two in my life . Both men never stuck around. The man I plan on marrying now refuses to give me one ... says I deserve better then that 😊💍 wouldn’t worry about one

I hit yes they do because my fiancé gave me one years ago before we were engaged. But I also wanted to hit still too early, because maybe he feels that way, or maybe he doesn’t want to give a promise ring, not all men do
