A discovery I made postpartum involving dermoplast

Angie

Ftm here. I had a natural birth with a slight tear (4 stiches). The hospital gave me dermoplast to help numb the burning and itching. I was told to use it as often as I needed to. I did...

The burning during urination was so severe that I would cry every time I'd go. I was drinking 4 liters of water a day. But it had been several days. Instead of getting better, it felt like the pain was getting worse. So, I began considering the possibility that it was the dermoplast. Looking at the directions, it says to use it 3-4 times a day. I cut it out completely and within 24 hours the burning was almost completely done.

Another discovery, lean forward as far as possible on the toilet to prevent the urine from "flowing back".

I'm not sure if I'm overly sensitive to it or if I was misinformed about how to use it, therefore the reaction, but I thought I'd share what I learned incase anyone else was facing the same issue. ;)
