Why is this still happening?

I had the nexplanon implant fitted on the 2/08/18 and since then my periods have been lasting longer than usually but happening more frequently. In between having periods I’ve been experiencing discharge that seems to be old blood, but do any of you have experience of this or can kinda give me some advice why this is still happening. I’ve added a picture of what I mean. I do apologise
