how do you guys play with baby? please help

my LO is 3 months old today and im feeling like a bad parent.i do tummy time for about 5mins before shes screaming and crying. i prop her on the boppy and attempt to play with her with her toys shes good for about 15mins then is over it and she just wants to nap but in the baby carrier..she can support her head brings hand to mouth even brings toys to mouth.when proped on boppy sje tries to lift her self up into sitting position.. however she doesnt roll frm tummy to back nor is she laughing she's hitting all the other milestones but these.. ima ftm and i have absolutely no help i dont know if im doing things right i honestly am starting to think im developing postpartum depression.. please help how else can i play with her am i doin anything wrong? any tips or advice is totally welcome please

Your not doing anything wrong..everything sounds great that your doing. My baby is 12 weeks old..I usually will read to him books that have bright colors. I talk or sing to him for a while. I also take him for a walk in the stroller outside. Other than that, there's not too much to do! He naps a lot and sometimes he just wants to rest lol don't stress too much!

Take a deep breath. My little girl is 12 weeks old tomorrow and sounds EXACTLY like your little one. 
She JUST started putting toys in her mouth 2-3 days ago. She tries to laugh SOMETIMES, but hasn't quite figured it out. 
She's super strong and has great head control but doesn't roll over. 
They will get there! What your little one is doing is right on track, some even a little advanced. Don't worry, mama. Take it easy on yourself. 💞💞💞

You’re not doing anything wrong! Playing at this age is limited...tickles, making faces and sounds towards them, using different toys, and singing are about it. Nothing lasts long, and that’s totally ok. Right now your love and rest are most important.

You’re doing great momma! You just have to try different things and see what they might like! I put my son in my little carrier and walk around the house so he can see everything while I play music and he loves it! He also loves his play mat! Don’t be so hard on yourself love!

You’re doing fine. Our daughter is also 3 months. She hates tummy time but prefers to sit up on our laps or stand up and bounce on our laps. She also try’s to sit up on her own but doesn’t yet rollover. I was worried and Dr said she’s plenty strong and not to worry. She said eventually she will just do it and isn’t at all concerned about her development.  Just this week she’s started showing signs of trying to roll herself by kicking up her legs while she’s on her play mat. We just stopped forcing the tummy time and instead just try to “trick” her into being on her belly while we play, but only for little bits and she’s starting to tolerate it for longer times. As soon as she fusses we just move her and move on to the next activity. I’ve found reading up on milestones, etc... is more frustrating at times than helpful because every baby is different.

Babies do things at different speeds.  So if she’s met most her milestones, that’s great.  She can’t do everything at once. 
It’s a lot to take in for her.  Being stimulate can make her tired which is likely why she gets upset.  She is learning and trying.  
The fact you are there, encouraging and supporting her is awesome.  You are giving her the opportunities to develop.  Keep being an awesome mum and she’ll get there.

Babies don’t play long. They get overly stimulated really fast and easy. When she’s done playing and is fussy, comfort her and talk to her if she’s calm. Talking and making faces and sounds are different kinds of play. My daughter loves being talked to and gives the biggest grins then!
