Fiancé “doesn’t care”

Okay so bear with me, there’s a lot going on here.

My mom hasn’t always been the best, but recently she’s been here for everything. She’s been a huge help with my son, and my fiancé and I have been struggling with money and she helps when she can. She’s gotten me to and from class and work while my fiancé has my car. She babysits (for free), she’s my biggest help and support.

She told me today that she confessed to a crime that she wasn’t a suspect for (I.e she would’ve gotten away with it, there wasn’t even an open investigation). She stole $13k from her last job, she was their accountant so she falsified the records to cover her tracks. That was a few months ago and since, the guilt has eaten at her until she went and confessed. She’s never had criminal charges against her before.

I was telling my fiancé about it and he got upset with me and said things like “why are you acting like this affects us?” And then the last thing he said was “I really don’t care, just stop talking about it”. All I did was tell him when her court date was and asked if he’d go with me, and that was his response. I’m so hurt and upset about my mom and then more so at his reaction.

I don’t know what I want from this post, I guess just to rant. If you have any advice though, I’m open to it.
