My husband used to be a raging alcoholic though he is in recovery now.. He had promised to quit drinking after getting drunk and trying to get back with his ex breaking doors drunk driving pushing me ect a few weeks later he told me he was going to a friends to fix his truck and was gone for hours and didn't answer I showed up and he was hammered and I started crying and he mocked me, I was furious and ended up punching him, not my proudest moments but was so hurt and he mocked my pain I lashed out. His family basically all called and threatened to put me in the ground and babied him and told him he doesn't deserve to be treated that way and basically to leave me. We have no children and weren't even thinking off ttc at the time so kids were not a factor. I am so proud of the man he has become but still have ill feelings towards his family's reaction.
