Mother in-law helping with engagement?

Question

getting engaged soon I know I am he has the ring and keeps dropping hints!
he told me he told his mom and she was wanting to help. 
Honestly his mom is very anal about things and her opinion and this made me nervous. 
He's definitely a mommas boy but I just hope that the engagement plan won't be her idea I don't mind her help executing the project. 
She's a bit of a control freak 
But so am i it seems
Just feel a little overwhelmed with her already having a hand on our future marriage.

I get where you’re coming from bc my MIL is super annoying and controlling... just make sure when you’re planning the wedding she doesn’t become too involved bc that’s where my husband and I had major issues with my MIL. Good luck 😘

I would recommend talking with your boyfriend about your concerns ASAP and figuring out how to deal with his mom. Not in regards to your engagement, don’t bring that up at all, but just in general. Let him know how you feel about her and what boundaries you would like to implement for the future. Like the wedding, kids, every day. The sooner the better!!
Ultimately how he plans the proposal is on him and you shouldn’t be worried about his mom’s help unless she’s trying to break you up. Like many said you shouldn’t even know about it! I’m so happy for you that he’s so excited about being your fiancé!

He should plan the proposal. If he wants help with arrangements on certain details that’s one thing, but the plan or idea should be his.
