If it's in self defense, yes. If it's just because you're angry and can't handle your emotions, that's abusive and you should get ready for him to retaliate.

Hitting your partner period is wrong. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a man doing it to a woman or visa versa. No one should be putting hands on each other. That’s not only displaying violence but shows that there’s no restraint and self control of one’s impulse and demonstrates emotional instability.

My fiance and I playfully tap each other. But hitting each other outside of that? Never. My hand should never threaten to strike him as his should never threaten to strike me. Domestic abuse is domestic abuse. This is like asking if women can rape men. Answer? Yes and it is just as wrong as when women are raped.

Not gonna even lie. One time me and my husband were fighting bad and he threatened to take my daughter from me so my reaction was to slap. That’s the only time

I tried to shove my ex once. We were in a major argument and it became really angry and aggressive so I said I was leaving. He tried to follow me into a tiny room so I tried to close the door and he flung it open, causing massive bruising on my arm. He squared off with me, got really really close. I "shoved" him--he didn't move. He's over 6 feet and 240lbs... I was about 110lbs at the time.. anyway, he shoves me back, hard enough for me to slam against a wall several feet back and knock the wind out of me before falling to the floor. 
Two morals of my story: Don't hit someone. And never stay with someone who hits you! (I stayed for 2.5 years after that incident...never got over it)

I think if the person is in your weight class, sure. Lol but expect to get hit back. That’s how boxing works. 😆 However, not everyone follows boxing. So if you’re gonna hit someone, always expect to get hit back. Male or female.
