When does thecob start checking cervix is it 36 weeks pregnant  or 37

Mine doesn’t see a point of doing it before you are overdue.

I’m 39+1 and haven’t had one done by my midwife yet. I had to have one done when I went to the hospital after a bit of a scare earlier on, and it was not pleasant at all so I’m glad it hasn’t been a regular thing at my appointments. 
Also, it’s nice not driving myself insane comparing effacement and dilation numbers to everyone else and worrying I’m not far enough dilated/effaced. So I wouldn’t worry too much if your doctor isn’t doing them - ignorance is bliss! ☺️
