My friend was about 7 weeks pregnant and told me today that she is about to have a miscarriage. She told me was confirmed at the doctor's appointment that there was no heartbeat and that she has a follow up appointment next week to have the remainder suctioned out. Does this sound right? I feel terrible for her and offered her my support. I just didn't want to ask her too many questions as I didn't want to upset her. She had another friend come over and spend time with her. Just curious if the "wait for it to expel" from her body is a normal procedure or not that early on in pregnancy. Will she be in pain? Just want to be prepared for what to say next.
