Nursing and pumping

Olivia

Is it bad to nurse and use bottles throughout the day? I’m a new mom here and my LO is a month old, between nursing, pumping and homeschooling our other child we haven’t found our groove yet. It was getting really hard to nurse, pump and also attempting to get school work done. I was spending a good 3-4 hours in my room nursing/pumping which wasn’t ideal...we weren’t getting any school work done (my other child had adhd and has a really hard time doing things on his own) he was getting really bored and was seeking attention in a negative way. So yesterday we tried something new, I gave my LO bottles all day and pumped after she ate (which then I was only in my room for 1-2 hours all day instead of 3-4) we were able to get a lot more work done and with me being able to be in other rooms I was able to give more attention to my other child and somewhat help him with school work....it was much better. Today on the other hand, my LO had her morning bottle then was hungry a hour later (knew she wouldn’t finish a 3 oz bottle) so I nursed her (while my other child was reading, so he was good for a little while) ...felt like she just needed a little snack....so when she goes closer to 2 hours without eating I will give her a bottle and then when she is 45minutes to a hour I will nurse for a little bit....I guess it’s ok to do as long as it works for us? 🤷‍♀️
