Did you get a 6 week checkup?

I'm a little confused. 
I saw my doctor today for my son and I brought up birth control and when to be sexually active again. She never brought up for me to be checked after 6 weeks, not like what my aunt told me. She got like a Pap test to make sure there was no infection. So, do they not do that anymore? Do you not get vaginally checked anymore? And do I just go in when I'm ready to get birth control? (I don't have to go back to my family doctor for it) 
What was your 6 week experience!? Sorry, so many questions but I'm just not sure what's next for me. Kind of feel forgotten about haha

I didn't get checked vaginally at 6 weeks. We just went over birth control options.

I wasn’t vaginally checked, just had my stitches checked, and asked about breastfeeding etc.

They still do check ups at 6-8 weeks now. Call back and ask for one bc if you gave birth you need that. If your doctor forgot they are an ass

I had a check up at 6 weeks. I had a c section. She checked my incision, talked about birth control, and talked about my baby and how I’m handling things and that was that. No vaginal exam or prodding. Usually they should know if something is going on by then. (And with my c section I’ve been in pain since but that’s common I guess) so unless your concerned about something or your provider is your should be in the clear to resume things slowly like sex and exercise. And if you had a csection really use caution

I have never been checked vaginally at my 6 week check up after three kids. We usually talked about bc at that appointment and made a separate appointment to have it done if necessary (I got an iud after my third and they had to order it).

That's weird. My doctors always did a vaginal exam at my 6 week checkups. 🤔
