SNS and Relactation
Can any give me some advice or point me in the right direction. Here’s some background:
I have a 3 month old. She was breastfed from the beginning until I went back to work around 8 weeks. I still pumped at work until about 10 weeks (couldn’t find the time but have talked to them since and are going to allow me certain times a day to pump) but she had been going through colic and reflux and would latch so she started the bottle for all feeds. I’m on my last thing of breastmilk and she can not tolerate formula whatsoever. Even tried hypoallergenic. As soon as she gets BM she gulps it down and is a new baby. We are relying on donor milk currently and stopped formula. With that being said, I’m really wanting to relactate. I sometimes leak a little at night but not much. I’m really wanting to go back to breastfeeding at home and obviously she will have to take a bottle at daycare.
I’m not sure where to start. Ive looked into getting her tongue tie clipped, using an sns so she will latch again, and using the drug Domperidone to help get my supply up again. Has anyone had success of this drug or with lactation in general? I’d like to start ASAP as I get thanksgiving break next week and will be able to latch her more. Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
