My little one keeps latching and unlatching, I pumped about 30 mins prior bc I had just got home from work and my husband was feeding her a bottle , why could she be doing this ? Not enough milk ? She’s starting to prefer bottle ?

My little one does this as well, its after a bottle i think he's full but Is wanting to comfort nurse so he does it to not get as much milk. Could be totally wrong i just put 2 and 2 together and that's my theory

My 16 week old does this when hes not really hungry anymore but is just playing around

My son does this when I first lay him by my nipple and it’s not because he’s not hungry, he’s just wanting to play with it before eating. I found that adjusting how I hold his body and head helps with this. I also gently push his head toward my nipple while expressing a few drops.

Make sure you’re husband/caretaker is pace feeding while you’re away to avoid bottle preference. You want bottle feedings to mimic the breast. Baby only uses 3 muscles to drink from the bottle, using every muscle when drinking from the breast. Therefore baby tends to over eat on the bottle and it’s just a nasty cycle!
