So my LO is two weeks today. I was bf but my nipples were getting so sore I couldn't feed him without crying (open and scabbed etc). Had an appt with a LC on Wednesday and she said he was tongue tied- gave me a referral to pediatric dentist and told me to pump and feed instead of trying to nurse to give my nipples time to heal. He had the dentist appt today and they snipped his frenulum. I got home and tried to nurse but it was still SUPER painful. Now, could be a couple things- like a poor latch- but I think it has more to do with my nipples still being open scabbed and raw. I have been rubbing with breast milk and air drying, but am looking for something that can help heal them quickly so I can get back to nursing my baby. Any suggestions?
