Hi ladies ,

I was just wondering if the hospital staff are able to clean bub up after birth before you hold them ?

It’s the only thing that’s sort of putting me off and it’s making me really anxious. Is it strange to request this. I just would feel more comfortable in seeing my new baby all fresh and clean before I have cuddles

P.s If you aren’t going to comment helpful things please refrain from commenting at all. I’m aware that I will encounter many gross things being a mother but this particularly is something that is freaking me out.

The only reason I’m asking is because I’ve seen in groups that other women have done this and was wondering if anyone could share their experience.
