Where My Skinny Mamas At??

Sierra

Skinny mamas!!!! Serious question. Were you ever able to have a natural childbirth? I had a c-section with my first and now I’m pregnant again considering a VBAC. Today someone told me I’m too tiny to have a baby naturally. And I know they say that your weight has nothing to do with your ability to push out a baby, but I want to hear it from an experienced one. I am 95 lbs when I’m not pregnant. I am 5 foot tall. Anyone with similar build that can reassure me that it IS indeed possible?

That’s a load of horseshit. I’m not skinny but my mum is a tiny skinny woman, she had two natural births with no help whatsoever. You’ll do great. X

I'm 100lbs when not pregnant and I have done a natural birth just fine. Baby didnt get stuck or anything. Took me 30 minutes to push and she was right out.

I was 94lbs before getting pregnant with my second and 3rd and they were both VBAC. That's a load of crap as long as your pelvis can support it.

My sister is extremely thin (110 and 5’8”) and she had a wonderful natural birth. I’m more built than her and look like someone who could push out a million babies and I needed an emergency section. It’s not at all about how you look

When I am not pregnant I have the same BMI as you, even though I am 5’7”. Always on the edge of being underweight for my height. I pushed out my first child completely naturally in a home birth with no meds and no tears. You can do this!!!

I weighed 80 lbs and 4’1 so you can do it... I’ve had 2 completely natural vaginal births and on the 3rd needed emergency c-section... so you’re body is built to have the baby through vaginal birth.... if I have another one I plan to have it vaginal as well.

I had a VBAC with my 3rd after two c-sections. She was a month early and came out in two pushes. It really wasn’t that bad with meds and all. However, now that I’ve experienced both, I plan on asking for another c-section with this baby. Ha! But you can do it! And then just think, of things don’t work out naturally, there’s a backup. My first would have been natural had I not stopped dialtating and had to have an emergency c-section.
