Umbilical varix. Help please

So I saw a specialist with the diabetes and they found an umbilical varix. There's not much on the internet and what's there is, is horrifying. He mentioned a tiny chance of retardation and still birth...then literally said "but that's not worth worrying about, worry about the diabetes"....WHAT?! So I'm crying. I need to stop googling. I got the chromosomal testing done so I should know the results in a few days. But I'm freaking out. Can anyone help? Did anyone have one and have it result in a perfectly healthy child?? Please, I'm so scared.
