so I just started going on the pill today because me and this guy have been planing to be friends with benefits. how long does it take to actually work (the pill)

I take Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and both the pill instructions and my doctor said it would be a week before it as completely effective. If you're really worried though, I recommend waiting the whole pill pack, or at least half of it.

Follow the instructions carefully. Start it on the first day of your period and make sure you take it everyday at the same time. It takes about 2 weeks to be fully covered.
