A long-story-short, a local radio station is holding a “mass wedding” offering it free to any couples wanting to get married. It’s legally binding, with the couples having to get the license. We are just responsible for anything else we want. They will have a reception, decor, flowers, officiant, photography, drawings for free honeymoon, jewelry, etc. Local news will even be there. It’s in two weeks and on a Wednesday morning. It sounds like a great story and unique and my boyfriend and I want to get married but not interested in a big or formal wedding at all. We were initially going to elope. My parents will be on vacation and On short notice I don’t know who would be able to attend. Is this a dumb idea? It’s so last minute and I feel overwhelmed and we haven’t even confirmed with the radio station we will do it.
