How many words can your baby say?

Mine doesn't say any meaningful words yet. He just babbles. But he can understand a lot of things we say. And he can respond to what we ask him to do correctly so I'm not too concerned. But I'm just wondering how other July 17 kids are doing in terms of speech.

We practice words while we're driving getting her to repeat new ones all the time. And try to use single words when she points or we point at something.

Here are a list of the words she knows, she’s really tackled the bulk of this list over the last three weeks. We always read at least once a day and I never talk to her like she’s a baby, I think that helps. As for how she learned them I think that mostly comes with us consistently saying these words to her. Like, if she’s trying to point to food or grab what I have I always get to her lever and say “please” before I hand her the food. One day i said it and she said it back. It’s always one word at a time when I do that, like i don’t say it in a sentence so i think singling a word out while demonstrating an action helps her too. I also follow what she’s interested in, like cats every time she sees one she points and makes noise so I say “cat” and then “meow”. Or food every time I give her a bite I say “bite”. I think not talking in a baby voice has helped her say the whole words and not just parts. But I’m also no baby expert and she could just be learning everything by chance! 😳

My baby has 15 full words now, 4 of which she learned in the last week. She knows all her facial body parts but can’t say the words like nose or ears yet. She points to them when we say them though.

I’m fairly sure he can say Mama, Dada, Hi, and Uh-oh (ok, I know that’s probably not a word but I’ll take it!) but none of it is consistent - just every once in a while but he does use them in context.  He understands a lot more than he verbalizes.

My son didn’t say any words for the longest time now all the sudden he says more than 10 clear words with the correct meaning

My son says 3 clear words... mum, dad and out 🙄😂 he tries to say his brothers name "Aaron" but that's a difficult one for him but he understands almost everything we ask him to do unless he's being told not what to do that's a different story 😂
