I’ve been on the fence about what beds to get for my two daughters. We are moving my 2 year old into the same bedroom as her 6 year old sister. Currently my 6 year old has a loft bed but we aren’t comfortable having our 2 year old in there unsupervised with that high of a bed.

We’re debating between:

1) letting them share a full bed, as they are very close and would absolutely love to share a bed. But I know they would eventually need separate beds.

2) go with a SHORT bunk bed, where the bottom is on a frame on the floor and the top bunk is about 4 feet tall, minimizing the risk of falls for the 2 year old. The one I’m looking at will separate to 2 beds when needed.

3) A bed with a trundle under it.

4) Two separate beds, a twin and toddler bed for now, but then they wouldn’t have much floor space at all. Below is a picture from google but it’s about the same size as their room if there were two twin beds.

I’d love to give them the most floor space possible. What’s your opinion? Thanks!
