We had a great relationship up until me and my husband had our baby.. but ever since we had her (5 months ago), my MIL keeps acting worse and worse towards me. I also live in the same town as her, she’s the only other person I have in this town besides my husband.. she doesn’t work, but she never once asked if I needed help when I was alone with a colicky newborn. Sigh.. I thought our relationship could withstand anything.. I keep trying to restore it but it’s just not working. Seems like the nicer I am the ruder she gets.
