Bounding heart beat?

Occasionally when I lay down I can feel my heart beat bounding in my chest and then it spreds throughout my body. I'm not anxious or nervous about anything, I was just curious if it was a pregnancy or even a twin pregnancy thing. (This is my first pregnancy, not sure what to look for)

It happens to me sometimes. It's all of the extra blood in your body. You gain approximately 4 pounds of blood during pregnancy, which makes your heart pump twice as hard to circulate it through your body

I get that occasionally but it doesn't last too long. The first time I was concerned, but now I just drink water and relax a little. If you get too worried, you can always speak to your doctor.
