Lovey dovey "phase"?

I was talking about my boyfriend to a coworker, and she told me she misses the first little lovey dovey phase of new relationships... it made me sad that maybe one day my SO and I will stop being all cute and loved up? 
Is anyone in a long term relationship and still in the lovey dovey stage?? Cause I don't ever want to stop feeling butterflies around him and wanting to kiss him and hug him all the time, I hope he doesn't either

There is a time where the puppy love stage does come to an end. I've been with my husband since I was 16 and in high school. We've been together nearly 13 years all together and 8 married. It's not a bad sign that the puppy love stage ends. You go from wanting to constantly see each other, do everything together, and everything feels so new to just being comfortable around one another. And completely in sync with each other. Once we got married we we're in the newlywed stage which is so much fun too. But now we know each other so well we can tell what each other is thinking/feeling. My husband is literally my best friend. I tell him everything even if he doesn't want to hear it. We make time for ourselves too. Just this Friday we each had time away from one another. I went out with a girlfriend and he stayed home, had some beers, and listened to his fav music. I was still happy to see him. He still gives me butterflies and all of that. But it's different and a good different at that. Add in having a baby and I'll tell you absolutely everything changes at that point within your relationship. Either for the good/bad or a mixture. It all depends on how you handle it together. My husband and I both agree that we love our life now together more than our dating days. ❤️

We've been together almost 8 years and are still head over heels, lovey, mad about each other (this isn't to say our relationship is perfect, but we are definitely still lovey dovey and treat eachother like we are grateful for each other every day). 
It just depends on:
1-how compatible you REALLY are  (not how compatible you WANT to be).
2-how you nurture the relationship 
3-who you both actually are underneath the honeymoon phase.
4- what the foundation of your relationship is really built on.

THERE IS NO LOVEY DOVEY PHASE. Me and my husband have been together since i was 17 and and 2 kids later living with each other it still feels like when we first met. Once yall stop trying it goes away. Don't let her scare you

Nope it for sure goes away then y’all start to do things to piss each other off because your comfortable! It sucks sooo much I loved the lovey dovey stage. Now I’m just a “bitch” because I’m too clingy and annoying 😳

No. It doesn’t end if you don’t let it. There are days I wanna ring his neck, but more often that not I have those butterflies
