Why do so many women attack young mothers?

It really bothers me to hear the comments people say about young moms. That they can't possibly take care of a baby. Yes it's hard, but not every teen mom is going to fail at being a mother. Im a great mom. People shouldn't judge a whole group of women. Just because of young people they know who were not cut out to take care of their children.

I agree. My mom had me at 16. Graduated high school, graduated valedictorian of her nursing class, & is now very high up in the hospital. I found out I was pregnant at 19 & will be 20 when she's born. By this time next year I'll have a degree in pharmacology & I just got a house on the nicer side of town. Young mothers can make it if they push themselves & have a good support system. It's hard of course it's not all sunshine & rainbows. Having a baby doesn't ruin lives & only holds a person back if they let it. It's crazy how a century ago it was common for 13,14,15 year olds to pop out kids left & right. Now a days young mothers are stereotyped. Not saying 13,14,15 year olds need to be reproducing. I'm talking mothers 16+

Yes there are "young moms" who are bad moms, but no, that does in no way mean every young mom is a bad mom. There are also PLENTY of decent age mothers(I guess you would say?) who are terrible mothers. It has nothing to do with your age, it's how you raise your children. I agree, people need to stop stereotyping every young mother as a bad mom

A person can be a bad parent at 15..
Or at 40. 
A person can be a good parent at 15..
Or at 40.

It sucks that a young mama has to grow up so fast but it sure doesn't mean she won't love her little one to death and take the best care possible of her child.

I salute them... The responsible ones.. The Single teenage mothers who go out of their way to give their child an amazing life simply because I experienced first hand with my mother how she fought and still is fighting being a single mother of three so young to give her girls a future.

I knew a pile of crap teenager ,15, who got pregnant and was an OUTSTANDING mother . It's an instinct , yes it requires maturity , but in many cultures - the maturity it takes to be a parent comes young if you allow it . It can happen - no room to judge !
