What did you do for your first anniversary with you husband/wife?

I am trying to figure out what Is too much for our first anniversary. My first year anniversary is a ways off but I would like to be able to so something nice with my DH. Please feel free to comment!

Since we didn't get to have the real wedding I wanted the first time, we decided to plan our Gothic wedding to renew our vows on our first anniversary.  It turned out to be amazing!!

My husband got us a suite at a nice hotel in the center of a shopping mall. We went on s shopping spree, ate at fancy restaraunts and made a baby. I didn't plan anything he did it all! But I think the first year you should celebrate as big as you want and are able to!

We had our two month old on our first anniversary so we didn't do much. I think we just stayed home and spent the day with our little boy.

My husband and I got married when our daughter was 3 and immediately got pregnant again after the wedding. So two kids for the first Anni, we made a family day, and went downtown to our science center and spent the day together. Simple, but I remember it. If we did dinner, I probably wouldn't remember what I ate. We did do dinner this year though (#3) ;) !!

My hubby and I were getting ready for the birth of our 1st child. Our anniversary was 6-1 and the due date was 6-2. Had my daughter on 6-9 and she's now a year old. The birth of our first child was a great way to celebrate

We went on a very nice "honeymoon" because we couldn't afford to go on one right after the wedding.  It was wonderful!  I'm actually really glad we waited!

We spent the day out, went to a local attraction and bought a couple bottles of wine from a local winery. Then I made us dinner, we exchanged gifts, and we watched a movie. It was nice :)

My husband and I did a weekend trip to a city about 3 hours away. Spent the weekend going to the big zoo there and some other fun and cheap attractions; wildlife refuge , space museum, had a nice dinner at a restaurant as well. It was nice to get away and celebrate it together but also be budget friendly.

Me and my husband went on a 9 day road trip style vacation for our 1 year anniversary. We love to travel and that was our 2nd longest trip together. It was everything and I'm so glad we got to spend our 1st anniversary doing something that we love. BTW today is our 2 year anniversary. We are keeping it simple with a nice dinner out this evening.
