So about a year and a half ago I had to have a lower lumbar fusion. Recovery went great, I still hurt, but for sure not as bad as before.

I am currently 37 +2 weeks pregnant, and tomorrow my doctor and I decide wether to do a c section, induce, or wait for baby. He is measuring quite large, almost 9lbs now (I know this can be off on ultrasounds). My issue is that id really like to be able to experience a natural child birth. That being said, with where my fusion is placed, there is a possibility that my fusion could shift or bend, depending on how much my hips have to open up for baby boy. I'm absolutely terrified of this happening.

My spinal doctor said I should be fine, but no promises.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had a lower fusion and had no issues with delivery and recovery?
